Erasmus+ project No. 2020-1-SK01-KA229-078237_4 “My your Smart School” is coming to an end. It was created in response to two basic needs identified at the level of the schools involved – the need to boost students’ motivation of learning and consequently their school results and then need to promote intercultural dialogue among people from different countries and backgrounds, in a European context which is now facing great challenges. At the beginning there were 5 partners: Slovakia, North Macedonia, Lithuania, Italy, Turkey. There were left four countries in the project (Slovakia, North Makedonia, Lithuania, Italy) out of 5. Turkey partner was removed from the project. One of the purposes was to get students more involved in their own learning by having them use the computer in their studying, thus improving their results and performance. On the other hand, we wanted them to experience what it means to be European, to expose them to different ways of thinking, values and beliefs. During our all mobilities and meetings, online activities we have developed intercultural understanding and acceptance, we also developed communication skills in English of students and teachers. We promoted European values and developed cohesion among European citizens. The main objective of mobility in Lithuania was to acquire knowledge and skills in using ICT during lessons and workshops, where students and teachers familiarized themselves with new possibilities of utilizing digital technologies and their application in the topic: Digital Solutions for better Religions and Tolerance for Diversity, as well as digital solutions for better material. All partners had to prepare Religious/History (related on religions) studies lessons in English using the digital instruments that were presented during C1 mobility. Those lessons gave an insight into the specificities of each religion, which is why, depending on the mixture of religious backgrounds and awareness that we are different. During our mobility in Lithuania, we had workshops for students and for teachers: we have worked with 5 different religions: Islam, Judaism, Catholicism, Lutherans and Orthodoxy. Each student group had their own religion and had workshops with different apps: DALL E 2, drawing apps and etc. While being in the multicultural groups, students have created digital artworks. They have created their own presentations on historical religious landmarks in the city of Kaunas, highlighting the peculiarities of various religions. We have collected feedback from all participants and evaluation: – students completed feedback forms on the exchange, participants answered questionnaires about us as a host country; – certificates of attendance were given and Europass mobility documents were completed and signed. This Erasmus+ project No. 2020-1-SK01-KA229-078237_4 helped students to improve their knowledge of ICT tools for educational purposes. Students gained new practical skills related to designing mini-lessons, storyboards, digital projects, online quizzes, digital artworks, motivation, and school results, experienced other cultures, increased their adaptability, self-awareness, and understanding of cultural differences, showcasing the diversity within Europe yet its unity. Teachers had the opportunity to exchange best practices, teaching methods, and opinions, improve their English and digital skills, and organizational abilities, and learn to incorporate tools/applications meaningfully into the educational process. The schools supported their positive self-image and became more visible in the community. They gained project management experience and served as an example for other schools to apply for projects. The project also fostered cohesion and created a positive atmosphere among school members.
